How we work

A structured methodology for high-stakes decisions

Our approach mirrors the discipline of leading management consultancies while remaining agile and proportionate. Each engagement is tailored but follows a consistent backbone.

01
Diagnostic & discovery

We begin with a structured diagnostic: understanding ownership, governance, documentation, operational flows and strategic objectives. This often includes document review, leadership interviews and a high-level commercial assessment of the business and its planned transaction or transformation.

02
Strategy & design

We design a coherent roadmap – covering decision-making, governance, documentation, process and timelines. For transaction work, this includes mapping stages and workstreams while keeping strictly away from regulated investment advice or deal-arranging activity.

03
Development & documentation

We draft and refine the commercial and governance documents within scope, develop templates and frameworks, and prepare packs for boards, shareholders or other stakeholders. At all points the work is shaped as consultancy output, not regulated legal or financial services.

04
Implementation support

We remain close to the execution phase – supporting leadership with decisions, communication and change management. AMCL does not execute regulated transactions or hold client assets; our role is to ensure the organisation itself is coordinated and prepared.

05
Monitoring & review

After implementation we review outcomes against objectives, refine documentation and frameworks where necessary, and identify longer-term governance or structural enhancements.

Throughout, we maintain clear documentation of our scope, making explicit that AMCL operates as a non-regulated consultancy and does not undertake activities that would require FCA authorisation or a legal services regulatory licence.

From scope to delivery

Working alongside your other advisers

AMCL frequently operates alongside law firms, accountants and regulated financial advisers. Our role is to provide a disciplined, commercially grounded backbone across structure, governance and documentation.
